Innisfail Eagles Host 2012-2013 Tournament
Hockey Alberta announced Friday the host sites for the 2013 Investors Group Hockey Alberta Provincials. During the months of March and April, more than 10,000 hockey players from over 100 communities will participate in both minor and female categories from atom divisions up to senior hockey during provincials.
Hockey Alberta would like to thank every association that submitted a bid to host Provincials,” said Hockey Alberta President, Rob Virgil. “Hosting a prestigious event like this is no easy task. It’s a huge time commitment and a successful event is dependent on a great deal of volunteer and community support. We are confident that this year’s selected hosts will uphold our goal of creating a memorable experience - not just for the players but for parents, coaches, officials, volunteers and fans.”
The host site selection process is extensive. Provincial host bid guidelines require all applicants to identify how they will meet certain criteria formulated by Hockey Alberta and its various councils. Selections are based on volunteer support, marketing plans, financial goals and more, which the selection committee evaluates before making the final decisions.

Provincial News & Standings
We have tried to allowed some sort of affiliation for our AA teams and also are trying to sell a Home and Home kind of Provincials
to our lower caliber teams in a B/C level.I have been trying to get this off the ground for 5 years for the lower teams that want to advance past League Play against other Teams/ Leagues. If approved by your office , our League Administrators must go to work on our B/C categorized teams to see if they will commit to these Provincials; if we do not have a good number of teams wishing to play provincials after they see this document, we will not go forward with them and only use the categorization for Affiliation purposes.
Thank you
Best Regards;
