Fort MacLeod Mustangs

Provincial Champions 2002-2003
This is a accomplishment only one team in the Southern Alberta history has ever done since the beginning of the Ranchland Hockey League. The team had a remarkable season only losing one game on Valentines Day. The team beat some great teams in Provincials and had some great key moments to win the title, with big saves from Dan Chambers to a big fight by Jay Potts. The final game was tied a 6 with minutes to go in the third period when Troy Clear won a key draw in the offensive zone, and won it back to Jason Hueppelsheuser who let go a laser to the short side for the game winning goal!! It was the best feeling in the world to win the title, and will be a bench mark for the future Mustang teams accomplish.
